As well as getting the chance to discover Ao Nang by longtail boat, you can catch a boat to Ton Sai, Krabi’s best-kept secret: a small, traditional village of modest huts hidden in a secluded jungle bay, while the blockbuster scenery of Phi Phi Island is reachable by boat too. Look out for the iconic beach made famous in the eponymous Hollywood movie.
For the adventurous guest keen to explore Ao Nang outside the hours of the boat-transfer timetable, an intrepid jungle pathway – the mighty ‘monkey trail’ – is available as an alternative route by foot. Be warned though: this steep, narrow pathway is not an official access point to the hotel, and should only be attempted by able-bodied guests. Back at the resort, there's a bountiful range of facilities on offer to guests, including: large swimming pool complete with Jacuzzi, kids’ pool, kids club, teen zone, spa, fitness centre, dive centre, boat rentals & kayaking, wifi, tour desk and more.
Please note: Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi is a superb hideaway hotel, however its seclusion means access is only possible via a speedboat or long-tail boat transfer, including arrival on a floating jetty. This could therefore present a challenge to the less mobile guest, so please check with one of our knowledgeable consultants if you have concerns about this or require more information.
