• In the US, you are expected to tip staff. Make sure to have cash on hand so that you can tip servers, guides, and other professionals during your cruise. Additionally, many places in the US will prefer cash payment to card payment; another good reason to keep cash on hand.
• Prices in the US are generally listed without tax. When paying, the price will often be higher than what was listed due to the addition of sales tax.
• The US drinking age is 21; cruisers younger than this will not be able to legally partake of alcoholic beverages.
