Antigua Wedding Legal Requirements
Please note: there is no residency period needed to marry in Antigua, however we do recommend arriving at least one day before your wedding date, to give plenty of time to apply for your marriage licence.
Documents Required for Weddings in Antigua
- A valid UK passport, issued for 10 years with at least 6 months after your return date to UK before expiry
- Your original birth certificate, showing both parents' names. (If you were adopted, the original copy of your adoption certificate)
- If divorced, the original document of your Decree Absolute
- If you are a widow or widower, the original copy of your partner's death certificate and marriage certificate
Please note: You will need to visit the Ministry of Legal Affairs in St. John's, Antigua to apply for your marriage licence. All original documents must be taken with you when you travel.
